I know some things about studying animation in the UK, or.if you want to ask something more specific, my askbox is open :) i know it’s very hard to start somewhere and ’m very glad i can help somehow. The second you say to someone looking for a storyboard artist “hey I’m looking to work as a storyboard artist, let me show you the storyboards I have” you have the advantage of showing people that you, in fact, are a storyboard artist (even if a very new one). You said you got storyboard pro and wips, right? first thing is.complete at least one of those wips so you have something to show!. you can study an Undergrad in animation where you learn a bit about everything and can focus on storyboard, or if you already have a undergrad you can do an MA ,( usually shorter and more focused on the area you are interested in) this can be from 1 year to 3 years depending on each course. Get a degree: This one is the most expensive, so it is a big decision if you go for something like this. These are paid but you can do them from home which can be really convenient. Study online: There are some great courses about it, I think I heard good things about the ones from or many others, where professionals explain and give direct feedback and you can find from basic to advanced levels. This one requires more self discipline and, for me, it is the most difficult since starting can be really confusing And what the standard for the industry is. By looking at their portfolios you can see what they do and how they organize their work. Nowadays there are easier to find, like in youtube or just online that tell you about the basics, also by studying the work from professionals, from the ones that are only starting to bigger names. Self taught: There are many resources online that can help you with this. But sometimes it is not required to work on animation. I think there are 3 paths on how to become a storyboard artist, depending on what you want to do with your life.for example, if you want emigrate to another country, you need to have a degree for visa requirements and stuff. Have in mind that at the end your artwork is what’s backing your dream to work in animation. While also working on your storyboarding skills. Being really observant of the animated shorts produced in your country or how small studios or just people already working in animation are doing. Since I don't really know how the animation industry is in Morocco, I would think that you have to do a lot of work yourself to be part of it. ![]() In the end, these are means to have a good portfolio you can use to show directors, producers, or recruiters what you can do and start working in animation anywhere. If you are still unsure of where to start or if it is more convenient for you, start studying in your country something that has to do with visual arts, that way you can develop solid drawing skills while also focusing on storyboard, visual narration, and animation. (and that is way cheaper than the USA, and I also knew the language) That’s how I went to become a storyboard artist. I was looking for that sweet experience from a place with an established industry. ![]() when I decided to go into animation as a professional I chose to get a masters degree in Animation in the UK. But here the animation industry is only starting, which means there are 0 places to study it and a LOT of people are self-taught with all the problems that it has. I’m from Colombia and I first did an undergrad in fine arts and then decided to go into storyboarding. ![]() Hi! This is gonna be a bit long but I hope I can help.

In fact, we have an entire category of different board games to bring you hours upon hours of new thrills. If you’re like us, you could probably play these free battleship war games for hours on end, but dodging torpedoes isn’t the only way to get your thrills around here. On the other hand, if you have a good idea of where that sneaky CPU is hiding its ships, fire there first! Battleship Games Are Just the Beginning This is how the cunning captain thinks – they learn their opponent and use their predictability against them! If you have a pretty strong idea of where the computer is going to guess, then keep your ships clear of that area. ![]() After a game or two, you just might notice a pattern. Pay very close attention to how the computer guesses and where it places its ships. Even computers, though, can be predictable sometimes. Of course, in this case, it will be a computer player. The most thrilling part about free and unblocked battleship games is the reading of the man across from you. Make a habit of tracking your opponent’s ship size based on what you’ve already hit, and if you forget how big the ships are, just look at your own! Know Your Opponent It also helps to know how big the remaining ships are when you’re throwing out guesses, because it will let you space your guesses out appropriately. If you’ve already sunk your enemy’s largest ship, for example, then you know that the next largest ship will need four torpedoes, and so on and so forth. It’s important to know this so you can save yourself from wasting guesses. From largest to smallest, it goes 5, 4, 3, 3, 2. In classic battleship war games, whether they’re online or not, you have five ships, and each ship has a certain number of hits it can take before it sinks. How many torpedoes does it take to sink a rig in this battleship war game? Well, it depends on the rig. Of course, you might still miss that second shot because of how the ship is oriented, but you’ll eventually hit it again. Your battleship game strategy should be to just poke around different areas of the game board until you get a hit, and then you keep your shots close together to finish off the ship. If you miss a shot, don’t just move one spot over and fire again, go to a completely different area of the board. In a battleship online game, keeping all of your guesses close together when you’re trying to hit the enemy is about as silly as keeping all your ships huddled together. Of course, your enemy will probably be sneaky too, which is why you should be random with your guesses. Put one in the top-left corner, one in the middle, one in the bottom right hand corner, one along the left side, and so on and so forth. Do whatever you can to make yourself a hard target. If you want to place two of them close together, that’s fine, but otherwise, they should be spread out. If you want to stay alive for long enough to take out your enemy, you will have to be very random with your placement. If you just huddle all your ships together in the middle of the gameboard, it’s not going to be very hard for your enemy to catch on once they fire a couple of torpedoes. That’s how you play battleship games, but how do you win battleship games? We’ll give you the pro online battleship tips. You’ll miss a lot, but once you hit your enemy, you’ll just need to finish them off. Set up your ships where you want them, and guess where to fire your torpedoes. Likewise, your enemy can’t see exactly where you are either. You can’t see exactly where the enemy ships are, but your radar tells you it’s in a certain area (that’s the game board). Like we said, your fleet of underwater war machines has encountered an enemy fleet, and it’s time to fight by launching torpedoes at each other. If you haven’t had a chance to play it yet, don’t worry – the idea is pretty simple. This battleship game online category will bring you the thrill of a long-range torpedo battle – free, unblocked, and intense! Phew, That Was a Close One – How to Playīattleship is a classic game that’s been around since the 1960s (and even earlier, if you count the pencil and paper version). The enemy considers it an act of war, so they fire upon your position! You’ve only got a few battleships (and a particularly brave rowboat, for some reason), so take them out before they take you out. Your fleet has strayed into enemy waters, and negotiations have failed. Welcome to the battleship game category, where each decision can save lives – or take them away. ![]() Now it’s your turn to send a message to the enemy fleet, only the problem is that you don’t know their exact location. “Incoming bogey, captain! Depending on the type of Spider Solitaire you’re playing, you may not use all four suits, but every version of Klondike uses all four suits. Also, in Klondike, you’re building foundations from Ace to King per suit in Spider, you’re building sequences from King to Ace. For one, Spider Solitaire uses two standard 52-card decks, while Klondike only uses one. Klondike, what Americans and Canadians simply call Solitaire, and Spider Solitaire have a lot of differences. What are the differences between Solitaire and Spider Solitaire? A lot of the game is putting pieces together that you’ve been building since the start. One of the best strategies is to build one or two sequences at a time while also stacking together cards that go together. The sooner you complete a sequence, the sooner it’ll be out of the way of other sequences. Always make sure you’ve done everything you can to reveal cards before drawing from the stock.Īnother big point of the game is getting sequences out of play. When these are left unrevealed for too long, stacks will continue to build on top of them, making them harder to reveal. The cards you draw may fill in an area on another side of the board.Īlso, you should try to get the face-down cards on the tableau revealed as soon as possible. What this means is that in order to win Spider Solitaire, it’s best to be careful with where you place cards, but also flexible enough to adjust on the fly. You’ll eventually need to draw cards, and this can cut off sequences if you’re not careful. You can certainly get lucky with your hand, but that luck will run out at some point. Spider Solitaire is all about organization. This becomes a bit tricky the more sequences you complete, as there are fewer cards in play.Īgain, once you’ve completed eight sequences, you win! Importantly, if you want to draw from the stock pile, you must fill any empty space on the board before doing so. In the event that you have an empty column, you can move any card or stack into that space. You’ll need to move these cards to another column if you want to keep building the sequence behind it. As you can see, this will blur the cards above it if it doesn’t add to the sequence. This will add one card to the bottom of each stack. When you’ve run out of available moves with the original tableau (that’s the playing area), you can draw from the stock pile in the bottom right corner. The objective of the game is to create eight sequences, thus using all 104 cards in play. A full sequence is King to Ace, and when this is completed, the sequence is taken off the board. As shown above, a sequence is cards in order, with the highest up top and the lowest at the bottom. ![]() Unlike regular Solitaire, you won’t be building foundations instead, you’ll create sequences. This version of the game uses one suit, but you can find two and four suit variants below. The game uses two decks of cards, meaning you’ll be dealing with 104 cards. When you begin, you’ll have eight different stacks of cards-that’s where the name “Spider” comes from. ![]() Southwest Business Customers booked through travel agencies may need to see a Southwest agent at the airport for both a same-day change or standby listing. ![]() Your original boarding position is not guaranteed. Used car prices will finally start to come down in 2023. With improved infrastructure, the apprehension to recharge away from home should lessen even within the next 12 months. At the moment, Tesla’s opening Supercharger network is the best and most reliable charging network, but many more fast-charging plugs are coming online from Electrify America, EVGo, ChargePoint and others. ![]() Speaking of refueling, drivers can also expect improvements in public charging stations. As gas prices spiked last July, an American Automobile Association (AAA) poll revealed that 25% of Americans would likely choose an electric vehicle for their next car purchase. Still, hot new models and the allure of low energy costs amidst record gas prices could spur more first-time EV buyers (or at least more fuel-efficient hybrids and plug-in vehicles), especially if 2023 sees another summer of pain at the pump. As soon as the calendar flips to 2023, as many as 70% of the electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles formerly eligible for the existing tax credit will lose that incentive because of strict rules concerning battery sourcing and vehicle price caps. The former blanket federal subsidy of $7,500 is now based on various factors (buyer income, car or SUV purchase price and North American-based manufacturing and sourcing)-not just sales numbers, which Tesla and General Motors both capped in 2018. President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act also changed the calculus for potential discounts on all “clean” cars, not just battery-powered options, starting in January. Now $6,000 cheaper, both are some of the first genuinely affordable EVs that don’t depend on tax credits. Of all the electric (and non-electric) vehicles on the market in 2023, only the Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV had drastic price cuts. Electrics can use 30% more chips than gas-powered vehicles, Maithel added. Automotive industry principal Peter Maithel at cloud computing firm Infor told Forbes Wheels the ongoing chip shortage could affect up to 3 million vehicles next year, a disproportionate number of them EVs. According to a report from Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), lithium-Ion battery pack costs rose to $151/kWh in 2022, up 7% year over year. Only the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV made drastic price cuts this year, outliers in a sea of spiking MSRPs as the price of metals like lithium, cobalt and nickel have spiked. Lingering supply chain troubles and material sourcing are keeping new vehicle costs high, especially for EVs. But high prices and policy changes limiting subsidies for EVs could temper excitement. A growing list of new models from established brands-and even new brands like VinFast and Fisker-can make an EV purchase more mainstream and manageable. Long waitlists aren’t going anywhere for new EVs like the Ford F-150 Lightning or popular electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y and newcomer Rivian R1S. Even then, organic demand is such that those numbers would be higher if not for supply chain issues. In the first eleven months of 2022, they bought 724,000, according to data from Motor Intelligence. In 2019, Americans purchased just under 326,000 electric vehicles. Joel Lerner/Xinhua via Getty Images Despite Challenges, EV Adoption Will Continue To Grow It’ll be the first moderately affordable three-row electric SUV on the market. Many new electric vehicles are due in 2023 and one of the most important will be the Kia EV9. Here are four stories we see on the horizon in 2023. The whole car market is being reshaped, as are how cars are ordered and sold. That, and the possibility of a recession in the first half of the upcoming year, is driving down demand, hence slackening prices.īut even if used car prices continue to ease (albeit slowly) and new car sales climb, 2023 won’t be a year of bargains. On the other hand, rising interest rates mean auto loans and leases are costlier, which may soon mean that buying a new car (where interest rates are lower) would be more cost-effective than a 2- to 3-year-old one. Falling prices are only just reaching the retail level, but inflation-stretched used car shoppers may find some relief in 2023. New-vehicle markups and used-vehicle wholesale prices have both eased since their peaks this past spring. What will be more normal? Supply chain woes will ease a bit, and rising vehicle supply will mean less pressure on the prices of older used cars. ![]() In contrast, 2023 may be a year of relative stability. Thanks to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the past three years have seen more disruption to the car market than any time since the production shutdowns of World War II.
